My build host is UBUNTU linux 10.04
I attempted to build gdb for the ARM target using the following:
./configure --build=i686-pc-linux-gnu --host=arm-none-linux-gnueabi --prefix=$HOME
make
Iget the following error:
checking for library containing waddstr... no
configure: WARNING: no enhanced curses library found; disabling TUI
checking for library containing tgetent... no
configure: error: no termcap library found
I downloaded the termcap library for arm and placed the termcap.h and libtermcap.a files in the directories where the build script was looking for it. Ran the sequence above again which resulted in the same build errors.
It is not clear to me what is missing from the build environment and what steps to take to correct it. Surely it most be possible to build a GDB executable that executes directly on the am387x target?
Any assistance you can provide would greatly appreciated.
