Forum Post: Android 2.2 on AM3517 - Ethernet static configuration

Hi,

we are testing Android 2.2 on AM3517 and we have the following problem:

When there is connection to androids ethernet port and it is up we can setup custom ip address(busybox ifconfig eth0 11.2.1.2), but when ethernet cable is unplugged  and plugged back again we have dhcp and our set addresses are overrided. How to setup permanent Static Ip so it will persist.
